A little about me

A technical background.
A human perspective.

I’m Dan Cowsill. I work across software, infrastructure, and applied AI, with a particular interest in helping people become more capable with the tools around them.

The work, and the person behind it

I like getting to
the bottom of things.

My work has taken me through networks, servers, identity systems, software development, and the practical realities of running a technical team. That background shapes how I approach a problem: understand the system, work with the people who depend on it, and build something they can use.

Today I lead professional services at Wildfrog Systems. I’m exploring how AI changes the day-to-day work of engineers and technical teams, and where it can help people do more.

Outside that work, I build tools for problems closer to home. A book collection for my mom. A way to control an air purifier. Small projects are a good place to follow a question and learn something new.

01 Where I spend my time

A practice across disciplines

Systems

Understanding the whole thing.

Infrastructure, networking, identity, and the connections between them. Working through the details that make a system reliable.

Software

Making something useful.

Custom tools, automation, and applications. Turning a recurring problem into something that’s easier to handle next time.

People & AI

Learning a new way to work.

Applying AI to real technical work, with people involved in the decisions and responsible for the result.
