A different way into a familiar device.Hardware / Protocol exploration
A small command-line tool to read air-quality data and control a Winix purifier. The project involved following network traffic and understanding how the device communicates with its cloud service.
It still uses the manufacturer’s cloud. The useful part is having another way to work with the hardware.
